Tennessee Home Speaker Cameron Sexton, R-Crossville, has appointed State Rep. Greg Important, R-Harrison, as vice-chairman of the Home Transportation Committee for the 113th Normal Meeting.

“Greg Important has already demonstrated he’s an efficient and dedicated public servant on behalf of his neighborhood and our whole state,” stated Speaker Sexton. “His ardour for infrastructure, information, {and professional} experiences will allow him to be extremely profitable as vice-chair of the Home Transportation Committee. I admire his willingness to serve on this necessary place.”

The Home Transportation Committee is accountable for state legal guidelines governing infrastructure, which incorporates highways, bridges, railroads, air, bus, and vehicular transportation.
